Principles for Policy Action
Organizations across the state came together on Tuesday, January 23, 2007, in Austin to address the Texas legislative community on the issues surrounding the high school dropout crisis. They presented a briefing on the issue for policy staff. The session was presented by: Children at Risk, IDRA, Rice University – Center for Education, the Center for Public Policy Priorities and the University of Texas –Texas Center for Educational Policy.

The group released a set of nine principles for solutions, “Addressing the Dropout Crisis in Texas: principles for Action.”
