IDRA Annual La Semana del Niño Early Childhood Educators Institute™

IDRA provides the nation’s only gathering place for teachers and parents concerned with early childhood education of English language learners. During IDRA’s annual La Semana del Niño Early Childhood Educators Institute, hundreds of teachers, administrators and parents participate in a series of information-packed development sessions customized to their varied concerns.

Participants explore, assess, and reflect on research-based, effective practices that lead to children’s success. They attend workshops about creating opportunities for children to develop a love for reading while they are doing mathematics, art, music and science. They visit model early childhood centers and share ideas while seeing them in action.

This interactive, bilingual institute provides a special forum for parents to discuss the leadership that families exert in literacy development and their partnerships with schools. Through, video conferencing other educators and parents across the state are able to participate in a portion of the institute without having to travel.

Find out about the next insitute in February 2008
