
Each year in February, the Alamo STEM Ecosystem brings together teachers and pre-service teachers from across the San Antonio area for a free, one-day conference dedicated to STEM excellence in the classroom.
San Antonio is home to a wealth of STEM-focused organizations and industries offering cutting-edge tools, programs, and partnerships for educators. This conference connects teachers at every stage of their careers with innovative local resources, helping to inspire the next generation of STEM leaders.
This event is designed for K-12 educators, pre-service teachers, administrators, higher education faculty and community-based STEM advocates. Sessions will engage participants in hands-on, practical experiences and foster collaboration that educators can take back to their classrooms or programs.

Alt-Bionics is transforming the fields of prosthetics and humanoid robotics with cutting-edge, yet affordable bionic hands. Ryan holds a B.S. in electrical engineering from the University of Texas at San Antonio with a dual focus in control systems and electromyographic interfaces. He has melded his technical expertise with a passion for harnessing technology to improve the lives of others.

The Defense STEM Education Consortium in 2023 named the Alamo STEM Ecosystem, co-led by IDRA, as one of four STEM hubs in the country. The Alamo STEM Ecosystem brings together educators, industry and other partners. As lead, IDRA is increasing opportunities for young students to work directly with technology to expand their problem-solving skills.
