Join us in empowering the next generation of problem-solvers, creators, and leaders in STEM!

Now more than ever, preparing students for future STEM college and career opportunities is a shared priority across our community. This exciting event will bring together students, educators, industry leaders, and Department of Defense (DoD) professionals for a day of hands-on learning, mentorship, and career exploration.

Event Highlights

  • Broaden students’ awareness of STEM career pathways, including DoD opportunities
  • Connect middle and high school students with mentors and local industry leaders
  • Participate in interactive workshops focused on leadership, communication and other essential career skills

General Schedule

9:00 am: Doors Open & Bus Arrivals Begin

9:00 am: Check in at the WAH Gym & receive your group’s schedule

9:30 am: Welcome Session & Keynote Speaker

10:00 am: Morning Breakout Sessions (career/college & STEM-focused sessions)

11:00 am: STEM Expo & Lunch

Noon: Afternoon Breakout Sessions (campus tours & SPC meet & greets)

1:00 pm: Surveys & Dismissal (1:30 pm)


Interest Form

Teachers, counselors, club sponsors, etc.: Complete the interest form to stay in the loop about event details and receive formal event registration links. (Students who are interested in attending need to have a school staff member complete this interest form, and the school should plan on a whole school group and at least one chaperone attend.)

The Defense STEM Education Consortium in 2023 named the Alamo STEM Ecosystem, co-led by IDRA, as one of four STEM hubs in the country. The Alamo STEM Ecosystem brings together educators, industry and other partners. As lead, IDRA is increasing opportunities for young students to work directly with technology to expand their problem-solving skills.
