This IDRA research brief examines how recent legal and policy changes limiting diversity, equity and inclusion practices are reshaping college access and student support in Texas and across the country. The brief reviews longstanding disparities in college readiness and attainment, explains major court rulings and Texas legislation, and outlines how changes to diversity policies may affect historically marginalized students’ opportunities to access and succeed in higher education.
