COVID-19 Updates: Visit our Learning Goes On site for news and resources for supporting educators, families, policymakers and advocates.
During these difficult times, IDRA is providing COVID-related bilingual policy updates for families (in English and Spanish), conducting webinars for educators on navigating the distance-learning world, holding teacher and principal academies on virtual teaching, and providing other bilingual resources about online learning for families and educators across Texas.
The public health crisis hits especially hard the educational growth of pre-kindergarten and kindergarten students at a critical time in their development due to a lack of resources and in more rural parts of our community with no internet connectivity.
To combat these challenges, IDRA is partnering with school districts to bolster instructional support for virtual learning and to provide quality early childhood bilingual books and family literacy activities. With additional support, we will distribute these vital resources to students and families, ensuring that our most valuable community assets – our children – continue to thrive.

Because of you, we launched our Education Policy Fellows program and created innovative ways for our Valued Youth Program tutors to continue their work to support younger students while themselves staying engaged with their schools during this difficult time.
